I just got these put these through a petty intensive test for fit and sound quality. First on the fit, the fit is very hard to get right, almost none of the included plugs worked for me. from Amazon.com great sounding, comfortable to use, does not fall-off while working-out. I highly recommend the klipsch custom-3. from Amazon.com got them for a little over a year now and was ok with them until they fell appart on my ears. suddenly the left wire came off the phone and after that it was just a matter of a couple of days for it to stop working completelly. After such a painfull time (no decent earphones available) i started hunting on the net for a replacement (too proud to use the BOSE with a grose welding on and / or with electric tape) and after reading a lot of reviews and manufacturing pages i decided to go for the KLIPSCH CUSTOM 3, basically because they have good ratings, they are double driver + crossover, and the fact that KLIPSCH is a very well renouned brand, also everything that i have heard comming out of KLIPSCH equipment sounds like it really is (good or bad, but truthfull to what the songs are). the second i oppened the box (great packaging i have to say) i putted them on with the medium size gels they bring on, and they sound FANTASTIC, very rich and detailed. from Amazon.com Klipsch Custom-3 In-Ear Noise Isolating Earphone The headphone is very comfor for a long time wear(2hrs). from Amazon.com I've tried nearly all of the sound isolating in-ear earphones; Etymotics, Shures, Ultimate Ears - none provided the bass that I like from my iPod. I like to put the EQ setting at "Loudness" but I always got distortion from all of the above brands (except the Ultimate Ear Extended Bass earphones, but they're too goofy looking). I've tried all three of the Klipsch models, and the Series 3 absolutely surpassed my expectations, especially given their streamlined style. Crystal clear high-end with a rich, resonant bass without distortion or "thumping". from Amazon.com Don't be fooled by reviews suggesting that these monitors are less than perfect. Some stated that the Custum-3 emphasizes on the lower range or bass heavy, that is simply not true. They may not deliver the best sound they capable to produce right out of the box, but within 36 hours they will greet you with the distinctive Klipsch sound: crisp, clear and very balanced. The gels included might not do the job for everyone, however, so if you browsing around here with trigger happy fingers, I recommend you to pull the trigger on a set of Comply T-100 foam tips, those will set you back by another $14 but it will be well worth it in case the included gels won't work. from Amazon.com I finally ordered both the Custom-3's and the Image X-10's, because I couldn't decide which I wanted more. For some reason I have a very difficult time getting these Custom-3's in my ear in order to get adequate sound, no matter what sleeve I try. from Amazon.com I don't normally take the time to write reviews, but, these Custom 2 ear buds are so awesome I had to. I ordered these to use with my new iphone 3G. I have a pair of Bose and Shure and they are OK, but based on my experience with Klipsch speakers, I thought I would give these a try.
