The SOUND QUALITY of the Titaniums is 20-20K Hrz and provides an "airy" or "spacial" sound stage, the DJs less "airy" and are either 1] flat across across the sonic spectrum OR 2] have mid-range boost/coloration giving me better voice clarity and an increased mid-range presence that I found I liked--all things considered--over the RS phones. I got the DJs for $47.00 w/free S+H as refurbs from an A'.com associated affiliate and at that price, I consider them an excellent value for the money. Creative Labs makes a high end headphone--the Aurvana Live! user rated at nearly 5-Stars--that A'.com offers at the lowest cost w/free shipping (as of the date of this review) that I considered but the price I got for the DJs and their specs were the deciding factors. from Amazon.com I have a 5YO pair of Radio Shack "Titanium" headphones bought for $24.95 still going strong, but way beyond average product life, and now discontinued (bad move on RS's part). The MAJOR DIFFERENCE between them and these DJs is the comfort issue; you KNOW you're wearing headphones as the pressure is evident (this may lessen over time OR with some headband tweaking), where the Titaniums are forgotten once placed on your head--both are light weight, but the RS headphones don't "squeeze" your head when wearing them. from Amazon.com the sound quality is pretty good. maybe its because my head is too big or something, the headphone doesn't fit too well on my head,and don't use it for a long time tho. from Amazon.com The strange thing is I really like these headphones. I played my my "Sousa Marches Forever" CD on my computer and heard instruments I hadn't heard previously, even on my surround sound system. Additional ThoughtsThis is a quality product, well worth every penny of the price. from Dell.com Prosthey feel "heavy" like made with quality, you kno? but they arent to heavy :) the bass and treble are excellent. cant crank them up and wont have any crackling like other headphones. they are nice and tight so the ear cups fit around your ears very nicely.the cord is like a pigs tail nice for less tangling, but it has straight cord for the jack and when it gets close to your head so its not a nuisance. from Dell.com Pros: Teriffic sound quality, nice hard case, comfortable fit. from Shopping.com Pros: The boost sound is pretty good for movies,?
