I then caved in and bought the V-moda vibes. The vibes were...ok...and they cord eventually shorted out (I think the new models have resolved this issue). Since I was kind of put off on the sound quality of the vibes I was about to give up on in-ear headphones. But here I am, I caved in a purchased the Denon c751's. from Buy.com The AH-C751k earphones have a unique ported armature that is part of Denon's proprietary 'Acoustic Optimizer' design said to be responsible for a smoother, more 'open' sound than is typically heard with most ECHs. from Headphone.com I think the most important feature of earbud headphones is how well they can produce low end sound, and fortunately the 751K does this quite well. The bass is not boomy like some cheaper earbuds that accentuate low frequencies; the 751K accurately reproduces how the bass should sound in the recording. from Amazon.com I purchased the Denon AHC751 ear phone 3 weeks ago and have been using them almost everyday.
