(5) The soft fabric covering the earphone part seems to last forever--it's not crumbling after 3 years, it just looks a bit used. I'm not an audiophile, so I can't tell you whether the sound quality is better or worse than of other headphones--I say it's good enough for me. The only downside is that the reflective band gets less and less reflective over the years... The reason I bought it is because of the good reviews however if you want a good head phone you need to look at the specs; the lower the Frequency Response the clearer the sound quality: it's 10 Hz - 24 kHz for SHS070 and 12 Hz - 24 kHz for other lower SH models.
