I have looked everywhere around the internet to see if they were good compared to the Sennheiser i have. from Earphonesolutions.com I called Shure and asked about the difference between all the E3s, and they said that the only difference between them is color, and cord length, and nothing else. Frankly, because the cord is black, and black is an ambiguous color, I would buy the E3Gs because then the cord and the earphone will be the same color; avoiding looking cheap, ’cause these aint no cheap headphones. from Earphonesolutions.com DO NOT BUY these for that price. For the money I expected them to be good and since Shure manufactures high-end in-ear monitors for live stage work, I had hoped that some of that technology might be shared with their consumer grade models. from Amazon.com These earphones do work great at blocking out the external noise. This is because they completely occlude your ear canal, much like any sort of simple foam earplug. I use these with the yellow Shure EA120 foam adapters that came with them. The silicon ear adapters that also came with this earphone I found to be too large and too stiff for my ears and hurt after just a few minutes. from Amazon.com I spent long time to choose which one - E2c and this E3g, and eventually selected E3g because of its nicer design and shorter wire (I don't like too long wire of other models).
