I tried these headphones on several iPods, two CD players and a receiver, but was never able to find a mix that produced a natural sound. Instead, I've put these expensive phones back in their case and returned to a rather large set of Philips headphones that costed only $30 but are better in every respect and have an in-line volume control, which these expensive headphones lack. All things considered, this was money down the drain and a sad showing from Bose. I now understand why some people refer to Bose as "Buy Other Sound Equipment. from Amazon.com I got these especially for my Zune 80 GB Digital Media Player (Black). Buy these and you'll hear sounds in your music that you might not have known were there. I chose these because I thought they looked, felt and sounded better than the Bose around-ear headphones, for personal and portable listening.
