i was looking for an alternative headphone from my ipod earbuds when i found these.
perfect for ipod use (although the color doesn't match--it doesn't matter to me.) you will notice a difference between these and basic earbuds (including the ones that come with the ipod.)
the bottom line: the bottom line is walking fast now, dancing to the beat while wearing these headphones.
plus they're normal-enough looking so that you can go jogging with them and not look weird.
one of the earlier reviews said they break easily but i find them to be very sturdy.
i keep 2 pair- 1 at work, and 1 in my gym bag.

it was before the age of ipod.

As a MIATA (sports car convertible)owner, I find the Koss 2000 unit quite effective in cutting down noise from wind, engine and highway sounds.
These monstrous pieces cover your ears and are pushed hard against your head by an imposing thick behind-the-neck piece which sports the word "KOSS" in large letters across it, so you feel like a
commuting or exercising), but for those of us sitting down while wearing them, they are very comfortable.
I use it for listening to books on tape, on the street or in a gym, on an old portable tape player.
If your just gonna sit down and listen to music or on your computer there okay but not to walk around with them.
