i researched a number of headphone options before settling on the denon ah-d5000.

price range, i really believe you'd be hard pressed to find anything better than these and all the research i did on these left me with almost exclusively and overwhelming support for the denon's.

i had a pair of high-quality sony earbuds purchased a few years ago and was a little hesitant about spending the money for this denon set.

however, the ex71s cord is notorious for degrading over time (both of my pairs did) so hopefully the denons don't suffer the same fate.
