Hair Care for Wavy Hair Buying Guide
Want that sexy wavy hair look you see on TV and magazine models? There are several styling tools that can help you get a naturally tousled look without a trip to the hair stylist.
- Straightening/Flat
Irons
Contrary to what the name implies, these can be used to give your hair a healthy wavy look. First,straighten your hair entirely. Then, clamp the straightener about an inch or more up from the ends of your hair and roll it slightly, holding it position for a minute or less. Then release and repeat until all your hair is styled. This will give you a gentle, flattering wave.
- Curlers
Curlers can give you a relaxed, wavy look all over. The bigger the rollers the better! Just roll a section of hair around each roller, secure, and leave in place for 25 minutes or so. The longer you leave them in, the curlier your hair becomes - so be careful not to leave them in too long or you might end up with stiff, exaggerated waves.

Dryer
Using a circular comb while drying your hair, roll your hair around the circular comb while drying. Dry your hair completely as you work, but don’t put the hair dryer too close to your head - you might burn your hair!
