i bought very cheap steak and didn't marinade it - i just put it on this grill on high to sear it and then turned it down low to cook.
learned about this grill at www.thebarbecuemaster.com and i use it for hot dogs and hamburgers.
it was as if something was blocking the flow of propane.(we were using the adapter hose and large propane bottle) he must have relit the grill 20 times trying to cook our burgers.
today i set up the grill and used it for the first time, grilling six big burgers.
i can grill 4 burgers and a couple dogs at a time, or a couple steaks and some veggies and it's over a flame, not on a glorified frying pan.
it cooks quickly and the results have the same qualities as if done with real flame with one exception: you do not get the grill marks on the meat like with flame which actually is probably better
the food basically tastes like it came off a grill -- i've made shish kebobs, grilled fish (in foil) and seasoned chicken and it turns out nicely.
cooked steaks on this grill last nite, the first time, and i have to tell you that they turned out so juicy.
well this is much better than my old one because of all the space it has for cooking large pieces of meat.
i cook everything fron chicken, to fish, to burgers and hotdogs, to grilling vegetables.
it was a valentines present for my husband whose grill was in very bad shape and maybe had grilled its last steak.

i use it to slow grill my "big daddy" burgers (8 half pounders at a time), baste with worchestershire sauce just as i take them off the grill, and they are sooo good!
though small compared to most grills it is large enough to do 6 pretty nice new york steaks, and because of the design you can achieve even heat under the entire length of the grill surface.
i coked up like 50lbs of meat on this thing and it not only coked it but pretty much fed it to me as well.

i will recommend reading the manual because it will explain to you exactly how to cook meats perfectly.
it's a good size (you could easily grill a couple of steaks on it) plus the rotisserie feature is nice.
while we thought about the loss in the quality of our bar-b-que, we found that this grill cooked the meat perfectly!
we have not been able to determine a significant difference in taste on meats cooked on the electric grill versus a gas grill.
15+ years ago i read tests that charcoal bbq's, really put "lots" of very bad carciniogens into your meat!

i really like the feature of no flameups to burn the meat.
every meat cooked on it has been juicy and delicious, including chicken and fish.
the indirect heat makes a great steak, however recipe book directions are not exact, can't be due to thickness of meat etc.
we had chicken for 12 people in 40 minutes!
my only gripe about the grill is it gets really hot at the oval holes on the burner shields, thus meats directly on top of those holes get burnt quite easily.
i just cooked 8 frozen 1/4 pound hamburgers this afternoon in about 20 minutes on medium heat.
burgers, ribs, chicken, marinated veggies, and london broil have all cooked to perfection.
i used wood chunks and the taste is so much better for beef and chicken than a standard grill.
another excellent feature of this product is the cast iron grates...they get so hot and leave an awesome grill mark on your meat...something i could never get with the grate on my weber.
it will hold six steaks max., but i have a larger grill for bigger cookouts.
i normally have hot coals in three-fourths of the grill where i can sear my steaks and then move them over indirect heat to complete the cooking process.
was able to grill 3 giant sized stuffed pork chops and a whole cut up chicken at the same time with no problem.
chicken wings are the all time favorite in our family and on this grill i can brown the outside of the wing, fully cook, and then crisp them before taking off (not one burnt spot), without opening
after looking at the genesis s-320 and jenn-air models again, it became clear that a turkey or large roast might not work on the rotisserie of the other models.
so far steaks, burgers and hot dogs have been cooked, all to perfection.
