the smoker holds the temperature well, can still get to 225 degrees in cold weather - it had no problem when it was 35 degrees outside -, and the thermostat is right-on.
well as it turned out masterbuilt is replacing my smoker with a new one.
i can load it at lunch one day, take the food out the next morning to carry to work for a party at noon that day.

i've never smoked before but everything that i've smoked turned out absolutely delicious.
although the ignition did take me a little bit of getting used to at first, i blame that on my novice experience with the grill.in under 10 minutes, i was pumping out 750 degrees.
packing, the grill comes on a plastic pallet, but the heaviest parts are in a nice hidden type place in the pallet so you do have to lift the entire 300 lbs to get the grill body out of the crate.
it gets hot very quickly and gives your meat those nice sear lines, the smoker works well, as do those neat grill out handle lights.

there was one thing that confused me but i figured it out quickly enough.
it took 2 hours from the time i took the box out of my jeep, put it together, & had the hotdogs grilling.
i've made burgers, porter house steaks, and delmonico steaks that all turned out perfect.my only concern is that my grocery bill is going to be higher now since i'm buying all of these steaks :)
treat it like anyone would a grill, let it get seasoned with reasonable cleanings and the epicurean will come out in ya!

i keep my stainless steel grill covered and i store it in a gazebo, out of the direct weather.
we live by a body of water and it is always breezy and never has this grill went out on us.
