my friends like it also and comment on how nice it looks and how small the grill is but how big the cooking area is.now i'm going to lowes to pick up a weber charcoal grill also because i hear they
the slightly larger cooking area is served by split cast iron grills instead of the single grill piece used by the q200.
though the q-320 has a bit less cooking area, it is enough for our family.
i was pleasantly surprised that the size of the cooking area was more than adequate even if you do end up cooking for 10-12 people.
the compact size is fantastic, with fold-down side shelves, and still enough cooking area to handle a houseful.
the flavorizer bars keep the meat tasting as it should, and you don't have to worry about that "gas grill taste." there's ample cooking area, and the burner system ensures even grilling.
it heats quickly and evenly, and has plenty of cooking area - we like to grill veggies along with the meat.
cooking area is smaller, but it has enough room for 6 big steaks and if you pack them a little bit you can put up to 8 together.
compared to the genesis, it has a smaller cooking area and some of the materials aren't as nice, but as far as i can tell it uses the exact same burners/heating mechanism and as a result it heats up
my problem with charcoal grills has always been not enough cooking area.
very sturdy and heavy duty with a lot of cooking area.
i really like the temperature gauge, heavy duty cooking grate, tons of cooking area for both direct and indirect grilling (at least two very large turkeys or three smaller), warming rack for warming
it had to be of high quality & also versatile because it is our primary cooking area during the summer months.
other thoughts: in this price range, you can definately find grills with larger cooking surfaces, though, there is nothing deficient about the genesis' cooking area.
easy assembly, attractive, instant light , consealed propane tank, large cooking area, even heat, easily regulated, second burner for sauces , beans, soups, etc..
no crazy reaching over the cooking area to open the lid (uniflame).
things i love are the porcelain grates (the entire reason i bought this grill by the way), the electric start, and the large surface cooking area.
the grill, does an excellent job of cooking, the cast iron grate retains the heat and sears the meat.the grate provides a good cooking area that other grills rely on bricketts for.
the cooking area can handle 3 steaks and veggies without a complaint.
the weber silver is more versatile, with three separate burners and larger cooking area, but for most things i think i will be using the baby q from now on.
this gives a massive indirect cooking area.
the six burners and large cooking area make it possible to cook for a large party, but also provide more options for indirect cooking.
