so far i like it a lot, and i think that after the learning curve it will be a wonderful addition to my patio.
i don't need one on my patio.
tomorrow i'll get salmon and ribs :-)
pros: durable, good venting best uses: meats, patio, vegetables
pros: durable, good venting, large cooking area best uses: meats, patio bottom line: yes, i would recommend this to a friend
i have a small patio where i put the grill and it is perfect!
the grill is small enough for my patio.
he hates using his big grill as he is elderly and this unit can easily be used on his small balcony/porch.
i bought the baby q to use on my kitchen-level deck, for handy grilling whenever the mood would strike, and i absolutely love this grill.
i cooked burgers, steaks, hot dogs, sausages and salmon for ten people...nice size cooking surface.
plenty of cooking space without taking up a lot of space on my deck.
i can honestly say it is the best grill i have ever had (no problem carrying it from the 2nd story deck to the downstairs patio), and leaves great sear marks to boot, making you look like a world
we love the amount of room it allows, but takes up less room on our small patio, than our previous grill.
the price was a bit high for a grill of this size, but because my porch is small and because i intend to take it other places, it didn't matter.
i envision using this grill almost daily and i've placed it on the deck right off the kitchen.
amazon followed up on their own and had a grill delivered to my deck the day before i left, four days before it was due.
i think weber makes a great gas grill, my family has owned them for years (my dad had a genesis that lasted over 10 years left outside under a covered porch but w/o a grill cover in the harsh south
the grill is very easy to start and the stainless steel looks great on the deck.
i assembled it outside on my 2nd floor deck.
either way, it looks pretty darn sharp on our deck when it isn't covered.
the food basically tastes like it came off a grill -- i've made shish kebobs, grilled fish (in foil) and seasoned chicken and it turns out nicely.
i was skeptical at first, but decided since it was only $60.00 and charcoal and gas grills are forbidden on the patio, i'd give it a try.
we have a patio, and this grill is perfect for us.
does a great job on steak, fish and chicken and of course hambugers and hotdogs.
i cook everything fron chicken, to fish, to burgers and hotdogs, to grilling vegetables.
once the deck is finished next week i can grill most every night.
i fired it up and let it preheat and then i put a piece of salmon on one side and a 2 inch ribeye on the other.
steaks, chicken, salmon steaks, tuna steaks...
this is an excellent grill for the price, the parents of the bride and groom purchased it as a wedding gift with a patio set.
its small size make moving it around my deck super simple.
i am testing the waters with some oiled wipes and salmon tonight but it's performed wonderfully!
one word - perfectlarge enough to get the job done - small enough not to take up the entire patiogrills evenly - heats up fast and the starter (which i have had troubles with-other brands) works
this grill seems just as nice as our large patio grill, and it is much easier to move and store.
i have honestly stopped using my patio grill & now use only the q120, it's like 2 grills in 1
shortly after purchasing my grill (which i leave covered on my patio), i noticed something had been gnawing on the gas control handle.
it would also be ideal for the balcony or patio of an apartment, small home or condo patio or balcony.
but i keep it on a built in patio tabletop for home use only.
then upgraded to a char-broil gas patio caddie.
it's size makes it a good choice for condo decks or similar small sizes.
one more thing, now i use a bike chain to lock it onto my porch rail.
i have it on a table on our porch and it is very attractive and doesn't take up much space.
it does an amazing job on chicken, sausage, hot dogs, fish, and even hamburger and lamb chops.
bought a big one for leaving on the deck at home & this one goes to the cabin for those times we don't want to set up the weber charcoal grill or want to have a picnic in a park.
it was deliverd to our back patio and we put it together and used it for the first time the same day.
the grill was a cinch to put together and was the perfect size for our small deck.
it is very easy to clean and it looks good on my patio.
it looks good on our deck and is large enough to cook food for our family of 5 and many more.
pros: easy assembly, easy to use best uses: anytime, patio, slow cooking, weekend cooking describe yourself: occasional griller
even though we're in the middle of the cold, dark winter, i still find myself heading to the back patio a few nights a week to fire up the grill for a grilled meal.
i can cook fish fillets directly on the grates without using any baskets or grill overlays.
it's super easy to use to make chicken, pork, beef or fish grilled to perfection.
we used it almost daily since, with meat, fish and seafood and i would not give it away anymore.
entertaining on the deck is much better now!
