Wize Buying Guide for Outdoor Kitchen

Hot summer afternoons and evenings are complete only with a quality cook out. Make the most of your summer dinner experience by getting a quality grill or smoker for our outdoor kitchen and enjoy your summer meals in the fresh air and sunshine.

Most outdoor grills are propane. These are easiest to use and also require much less clean up and preparation. Unless you have a particular preference for the flavor of charcoal grilled meals, efficient propane models are the way to go.

Pay attention to the type and quality of cooking grid on your prospective grill or smoker. Of course you want a cooking grid that conducts heat efficiently and evenly, but you'll also want one that lasts, resists moisture, and is easy to clean. Porcelain-enameled or cast iron grids are best. An iron grid won't last as long, but iron grids conduct heat extremely well and have the benefit of adding iron to your food.

If you want your grill or smoker to be mobile or are looking for a large unit, wheels are a must. Lugging your grill back to the garage or basement will be much easier, especially with units that have heavy components like cast iron grids.
