didn't have fraps on but it felt like 30-40 fps on average.
it can handle crysis on 1280*1024 on very high with a decent 55 fps.
i had a 9800 gtx+ before and this card gives me 70+ more fps in all games!
i have 17" monitor and any other card, i could only expect 6-7 fps increase.5.
people think this card runs hot but its designed to run at around 80c - 90calso this is a very stable card that gives a stable fps rate rather than jumping from 80billion fps - 5fps lolhappy gaming
i was surprised by how much more eye candy i could squeeze from crysis though, with this new card, since the reviews just list that it has meager fps improvements.
i wouldnt say its a big upgrade comming from an 8800 gtx but if you want to play the latest games at 1920x1200 resolution, at all high with the best fps without resorting to sli or cfx this is it
so far i can play every game at the highest graphic settings with 40+ fps.
i can now run crysis multiplayer on good visuals @ 1680 x 1050 and get between 30-60 fps which is plenty for good play.
cryris benchmark at 1920x1200 dx10 all settings on very high averages 46 fps with a min/max of 27/51.
tryed it out on a fps game of mine, and it works so beutifuly!!!
tf2 runs all setting high at 1280x1024 with 2x antialiasing at average 80 fps, never drops below 50 cons: none other thoughts: my rig:amd dual core- kuma 2.7 ghz4gb of ram640 gb hddthis
i mostly bought it for wow and i can now run wow nearly maxed out at 45 fps.
30-50 fps in crysis at 1680x1050 all settings maxxed.
this thing runs empire at 40 fps on high setting.
medieval 2 will run at all settings and resolutions maxed out no problem, company of heroes is surprisingly a little problematic, i can't get it to run ultra textures with aa without fps
it really is beautiful at those settings and runs very well with hardly any hiccups at all; but the further i pushed it, the more my frame rates started to stay below 30 fps, and then in the teens if
(80-175 fps in crysis all very high full aa & af 1440*900)...250-280 fps in cod4 maxed @1440*900...css maxed i get unlimited fps lol...card owns...

on certain parts of the game, where there is, for example, a house or something, the fps tends to drop to about 30-50fps.
crysis plays with reasonable fps but lets face it, that game is overrated big time!
this card lets me run everything maxed out @ 60 fps (vsync on) the exception being crysis wars dx10 very high 4xaa where i get about 40-45fps average.
with the 4870 i would have lots of crashes and it felt like the fps would drop and lag a lot.
i get 60+ fps in crysis, 1920x1080 res, max enthusiast settings.
with my old sli build i got around 20-30 fps on high settings with not too much enabled (1680x1050 resolution) but whenever i got anywhere near water my computer tried to implode.
also probably lookin at this card why, because you wanna run crysis, well it def runs it but dont expect to max it out and stay over 25 fps all da time lol :p my crysis experience was exceptional!!!

any game i throw at it maintains a constant 60 fps maxed settings with no aa in 1440x900 in xpsp3 32.
running games like farcry 2 and crysis at near max settings and steady ~50 fpsstrongly recommend to anyone building a new system or looking to replace an older card.
of 1650x1080 quite well (i can run both crysis and crysis warhead at 30-40 fps with no aa or af turned on with all ingame effects maxed out) comes with a dvi to hdmi converter so my samsung 42inch
coh performance test with my core2 cpu averages 58 fps which is double of what i was getting on lower settings.
runs crysis with all graphics settings maxed @ 23-25 fps at factory defaults, haven't tried overclocking yet.
xfire looks more promising from a fps position then sli and so i may try the next generation die shrink, etc.
with house temperatures hovering around 70 fahrenheit (21 celsius), msi's 4870 never rose above 160 fahrenheit (71 celsius) while running crysis at high settings at 60+ fps for over a half-hour.

i've run l4d, tf2, and bioshock all at max settings with high fps.
did 42 fps on complex 3d graphics with passmark 7, same as 8800gt sc.
easily overclocked for a few extra fps.
good performance.easy to overclock and manage with supplied evga software.software includes in game display showing temp, fps, etc.
this card not only runs smooth but blows away fps with all setings set to max.
havent played a game yet on max below 100 fps.i can hear it all the time but its right next to me almost compleatly uncovered.
as a single card, it runs rfactor racing game at 50+ fps with a full field of cars at full detail!
i have this card since july 7, 2008 so far no problems throughout the game without problems fps maximum graphics + + +.
it runs all games at max and i run crysis warhead with everything turned on enthusiast and 2 aa, with anywhere from 25-40 fps, with an average of 33 fps.
after much review this card is the way to go and it will pump out some serious fps for card for its price.
he has stalker on his system and it runs it nicely with good fps.

i went from 25 fps outdoors in oblivion on a good day, without any aa or other tricks turned on, to a steady 60+ fps indoors and outdoors with all the eye candy turned on.
i get an average of 60 fps on fc2 maximum settings 8x aa.it also runs cool.
it will make you feel like you can push some serious fps.

i'm not a big fps pc gamer these days but i can't imagine it wouldn't do that pretty darn well with decent settings if asked.
i dont get better fps but i am able to spin the screen without the card stalling.
warcraft i'm seeing about 75 fps out of town and 35 or so in dal.
i am running crysis with good frame rates, and on far cry 2 on highest settings with 8x anti-aliasing i am getting an average of 50 fps consistently.
stays cool, very quite, fps couldnt get better.
i ran hawx maxed out with an nvidia gtx 260 before i got this card and could only get 12 fps.
running 1920x1200 and get over 100 fps in most games at highest settings and aa/af on the up.
fired up l4d and turned everything on high...was getting 60 fps no problemo, as expected!
only hardcore fps nuts should worry.
about the same fps as crysis with double the frames i was getting with my old 8800gts (g80) that was running at lower settings.
it was blazin fast in performance in gaming.got 70+ fps playin r6v and r6v2200 fps cs source.it plays everything smoothly.some people just think its slow its becuz of their cpu or memory

can run gta4 at "near-max" settings (all but "texture rendering" on high, in-game benchmark quotes 35 fps) i play with everything at medium and try to get better frame rates, i like this card enough
maintains a 100+ fps base and never drops below 40 fps even during the most graphic intense moments.
runs most of the games at playable fps (5x @ 1650x1050).
other thoughts: runs every game i have (cod4, tf2, l4d, all that jazz) at max settings at 1440x900 at solid 90+fps.
runs all my games full graphics and what not averaging 60-90 fps between games....
above 60-62.also getting great fps out of the card.
so far it has run both company of heroes and crysis with a higher fps than my old asus 4850.
other thoughts: runs world of warcraft on ultra settings average 180 fps in raids, bioshock runs max settings- no issues
timedemo's show an avg of 30 fps.

the card itself is used mostly for wow, gives 175 fps on max aa/af @ 1920x1200, i have it vsynced to 60 though to avoid tearing on my monitor.

the card is gorgeous graphically and delivers incredible fps in every game i play.
so far i've seen a 40% fps boost in age of conan, tf2 doesn't drop below 100fps maxed out now (not like it matters past 60 anyway).
sure the gx2 might edge it out a bit in overall average fps but in my experience so far, the gtx 280 provides higher minimum frame rates which makes for a much smoother gaming experience.
the added memory buffer is essential to enjoying huge sweeping environments such as those found in aoc (this game is beautiful on dx10 with this card and maintains 40+ fps).
the extra memory realy started to shine here and sync my fps to have no difference in long view and short view situations.
huge frame buffer allows for super high resolution game play on realy big screens without fps drops that 512mb and 1gig cards get.
runs all fps and mmos at max settings.
ran both games at 2560 by 1600 resolution, the alpha’s can’t do that, they only can do 1920 by 1080 and still be able to play at a playable fps.

a lot of people get caught up by the number of frame per second (fps)to purchase graphic cards.
someone posted that they dropped fps in wow but with this card on ultra settings i'm at a constant 60+ fps, that person either has no clue what they are doing or did something wrong.
this pumps out some glorious fps in bleeding edge games and the highest settings possible.
so far left 4 dead is giving 80-90 fps at 2560x1600 with all settings maxed (8xaa, 16xaf, rest at high).
