other thoughts: i have a recession pc, it’s handicapped by a budget and too much work.
this is not a "budget" model just because it's the least expensive.
this card was very inexpensive and delivered bigtime on performance.
so decided to buy this one because of the price/budget.
pros: great mid-high end card for gamers on a budget (for 2008 mind you).

they didnt just give us a great card at an affordable price, they stopped the "other" card manufacturer from gouging us.
no issues w/ no dvi on post...all around beast of a card...cant wait til i can afford another 2 for my rig!

if you have an sli-enabled motherboard, which is nvidia's analogue of crossfire, you can run two nvidia gtx 280's on one pc, which will beat two hd 4870's in crossfire, so for the sli-capable, buying

you can't go wrong with a budget-safe friendly card like this which screams performance and is conformed by msi.

i am very happy with this purchase, ati does a great job of making affordable cards.
for the money this is the ultimate budget card if it stays around $120.
it would be a decent upgrade coming from any lower 9xxx series or any 8xxxx series on a budget.
