his main requirement was that it wasn't noisy and had enough horsepower to turn up the detail.
somebody said it is better display maybe some has more detail than my other video cards.
on newer games like guildwars getting 250-300 fps all set on high detail !!

other thoughts: i'm getting about the same fps in cod4, 1600x1200, as i did with my 8800gt but with higher detail settings.
i have 2 of these linked via crossfire, and it will run any game at max detail.

other thoughts: have this paired with a phenom ii 940 @ 3.4 and i have been running any game with max resolution, texture detail, hdr, without a problem.
