cooling my room overall and turning up the fan speed to about 80-85 cooled it down sufficiently other thoughts: i fried my last card from too much games and putting it under a lot of stress.
or it'll freeze from heat.this thing is power hungry it needs lots of juice.i didn't really get to see the full potential of this video card until i upgraded to 8gigs of ram in a 64bit os, vista 64.
only that it can run any game with max settings!!!
i'll be playing graphic intensive games like crysis or even a low graphic game like counterstrike source for a couple of hours and ill see temps go to over 80 degrees.
at 1680x1050 this card runs every game at max settings including crysis warhead, gta4 and everything else and all games are playable.
take into account this card is $155 after rebate, free shipping, and a free game, it is hands down the best value out there.
other thoughts: i would have preferred a card without a game graphics picture on it, but of coarse that isn't important.
other thoughts: i was originally looking at the 9600gt fanless cards, but decided that for the price, this card offered a little most longevity for future games.
i got it up to 700/2300 stable, but if you volt mod it, you can achieve 800/2600 stable.for games this thing runs everything flawlessly without lag, what is the point of buying a gtx275 or higher
been folding and gaming on it.
(it's a modern-age gaming card, sort of expected.) other thoughts: be careful when installing this card.
to my suprise, this card has run all my games from oblivion, crysis, everquest 2, and coh/v with great ease.....
the built in fan is nice and fairly necessary too depending on the games you play it can really overheat.
beautiful rending of graphics for most games like bioshock, portal, oblivion and the like.great workstation card at less than 20% the price.
i play world of warcraft amongst many other first person shooters and have really ran this card through the mud my first week of ownership.
