other thoughts: it's an excellent card if you have a budget or play games that don't require an extreem amount of gpu power (wow is the game that i play, 49 fps average under full settings).as
bundle came with stalker - clear sky and it runs the game at full graphics near perfectly.
it is very quiet with the automatic fan speed even during gaming.
games are awesome now on my 22" monitor cons: its a pretty big card but thats to be expected other thoughts: if i have enough money left over after tax season i'm buying a second one
plays every game i threw at it with max settings and still kept a good frame rate.

i will say one thing the card is awesome it run crisis warhead all options gamer stock
in crysis im getting ~20-40fps on 22" resolution and veryhigh settings(no motion blur) and on world of warcraft im getting 80-160fps full settings and 22" resolution(not in major cities though) the
card is stable on ultra high game settings and graphics are visually stunning.
it handles video tasks and all current games with ease.
on top of being a pretty high end graphic cards it runs all games perfectly.
that's what the giant fan is for :) other thoughts: i just started a new gaming rig, and built it around this card and a core2quad processor.
i recently built an additional pc, my previous pc had crossfire hd 3870's and this new pc only has the hd 4870 - honestly i do not notice a performance difference except to say that (obviously) when
when i say hot, i had to underclock it in order to keep my system from restarting everytime i played oblivion.it is also freakin huge, it will easily span the entire length of a full size mobo and
it's a top-end gaming card, does everything @ 1680x1050 with full eye candy.
