well games like doom3 it can do a good job.
for thoose who wonder if you can run games on this thing the awswer is yes but the grapics are no better than a geforce fx 5200 video card but the load time is really really fast which is very nice.
comments: this card is trully made for pro 3d graphic development, theres no point to use it for gaming.
this is not a gaming card.
wow what a great card for gaming and if you are dumb enough to believe all this and have enough money to buy this card, then go ahead and i will laugh at you!
it is when you play the newer proformance games where this card strugles.
i got this card to play some of the newer games i have that my old card couldn't handle, and while it did play the games, overall it couldn't do it very well.
my son had two games that would not play on his computer so we got this video card and were very happy he could play the games but disappointed there was no improvement on graphics...might need to
i play world of warcraft, which is not a graphic intense game, but its a step above the integrated graphics my basic dell came with and for the price you cant beat it.
i never game, so i don't know how good it is for that.but i got a graphics experience score of 2.0 on vista (i had 1.0 before with an onboard graphics card) i am able to use aero interface with
cant complain i guess runs most games at 1024-768 wit high-medium graphics, halo call of duty 2, madden 06, but is very nice regardless im running amd 2.1 ghz 512 ram xp
i bought this card for the 3.0 shaders,my old ati 9550 only has 2.0 shaders, and all the games require 3.0.the price was great, install + setup fast and easy,
it is a lower end 256mb card, those gamer types probably wouldn't use it, but it'll work fine for a home/media system.
good card, great graphics, but slows down when it warms up in demanding games.
omg video setting in games....
comments: i recently just recently got this graphic card and its great all my games look really sharp and it runs smooth and the fan on this card is extremely quiet.
i wasnted to lan some games and i needed a card to play them.
don't know if it would handle any gaming but dvd-video playback is excellent (even on a 42-inch widescreen plasa display.)
other thoughts: this is a good card for a system used for productivity with occasional gaming.
so haven't tried any games or benchmarks or anything too intense with this card yet, but here's what i can say about it:
ok for light gaming but if you're into heavy gaming, you'll need a better card.
however, gamers beware!
weaknesses: advanced gamers may not like this card's graphics capability.
low budget, non-gamer agp
Not even close to $xxxx worth for gaming.
Comments: Actually, please don't buy these for gaming.
Other Thoughts: DO NOT BUY THIS CARD FOR GAMING!!
Ran just about any modern game at the time at playable framerates.
I was advised that this card would be a suitable upgrade for my PC as I am not an avid gamer and my needs would only be limited to video (via iTunes and WMP) and digital photography.
didn't work at all for ANY of my games...
The Radeon 9550 is worthless if you game.
I tried a few demo games and things looked pretty good, but as for web surfing & such, I find no joy at all.
i am often asked to build a low budget gaming machine and video cards always take a chunk out of the bidget.
i'll upgrade to a better one if i want to play some games.
comments: this card is horrible for today's games, except rpgs and other small games, it's kind of slow and games like battlefield vietnam/1942 cannot run on full settings because it lags, for bf2,
i would not reccommend it for anyone seriously looking at using it for anything more than dx7 games.
flawless for older games.
