Outstanding card for an outstanding price. Though on its debut it ran for a hot 300 or so depending on who you bought it from, where you'd get and when-- this card now goes for about the price the 8800GT's used to go for more than 2 years ago. Having done that exact type of upgrade (after my eVGA nVidia 8800GT quite literally fried on me) it was good incentive to finally make that leap into more quality standard upgrades-- meaning a replacement in PSU in preparation for it, and ultimately, the new video card. from Amazon.com Pros: Playes all my games like Fallout 3 and Call of Duty World at War. Price was just in my budget. Cons: Very big card, just fit with no room to spare. (expected for a Micro ATX case) Other Thoughts: Running a Q9550 at 3.05GHz, and 4G DDR3. from Newegg.com Pros: I like the cost, performance ratio. I took the "over clock" up a notch with EVGA precision tool to 700 core, 1512 shader clock (linked), and memory to 2300mhz. On COD5, supplied o/c was 49-92 fps, with the over- overclock fps is a stable 89-92 fps with a small increase in heat @ 79c when its hot out, 55-60c when its not(no a/c & i live in a warmer climent area). from Newegg.com Pros: -Large Factory OverClock (655Mhz).-Smaller Cooling Fan solution than older OCv2 version (which I also have).-Single GPU performance @ 1920x1080 is rock solid coupled with my Q6600 @ 3.2Ghz.-Painless SLI setup with my OCv2 & OCv4 versions of this card.-Runs cooler, and pushes more air out of itself than the older OCv2 version of this card that I also bought months ago. Everything in the info looks wonderful, and my mid tower M550/F25 with a 240MM fan on the side will fit it nicely, after I move my 500GB hard drive to a 5.25 Bay with adapter.
