Other Thoughts: I bought this off of newegg earlier this year. I thought I would be getting the model being displayed here but they sent me the XXX edition which is overclocked version of this card. I found out after looking up the cards specs on the Nvidia monitor, and the box itself had the XXX serial sticker hidden behind the regular serial sticker. from Newegg.com It had a good, but short run. Other Thoughts: Switching over to an ATi/AMD card this time around. Had problems running various games like Mass Effect using this nVidia card. Cons: Bought the card in February and it died out at the end of July. BUT XFX has great customer service and is gonna RMA the card. Other Thoughts: I can't get a good card! I blame this on XFX because evidently their packaging is not secure enough or their soldering isn't strong enough to get these things delivered without damage. There was no signs of physical damage to the UPS boxes or the video card boxes themselves so I can only blame this on XFX for terrible build quality. from Newegg.com Runs all my games smoothly at high settings. And its cheap. Other Thoughts: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200ASUS P5N-D motherboard4gb DDR2Coolmax 700wXFX GeForce 9800 gt from Newegg.com Pros: Awesome video card for gaming. Runs Call of Duty 4 and 5 without any problems. from Newegg.com Pros: This card is advertised with a 600 MHz core but all the system monitoring utilities I've used tell me it runs at 669-670 MHz without messing around with it. I've since used the nvidia tools to oc it to 700 MHz and with the fan at 65% the temps never go over 73 C at full load and I've gamed for hours (artifacting started around 720 MHz and the temps went through the roof). I don't know how typical these results are, but I can't complain. from Newegg.com Pros: PCI-E 2.0 Sli Ready. Runs Crysis, L4D, Aion all on high settings. Cons: Drivers were conflicting with my Evga 9800gt , had to use Driver sweeper and completely reinstall drivers. If you have a small case with minimal air flow, i would not recommend you get this card. from Newegg.com
