Pros: I already had a visiontek 4850 but decided I wanted to crossfire them and ordered new one. Hats off to newegg they shipped this card and I had it in 2 days. from Newegg.com Pros: This is a good card period. Cons: None, other than being a long card. from Newegg.com Other Thoughts: I started from scratch building MaximumPCs $800 rig posted on their webstie. I did not feel the need to buy Vista. Even Vista users have had trouble with Radeon drivers. There are no 3D drivers that work with Ubuntu for me on this card. from Newegg.com Pros: Decent Card... I guess? Cons: I ran this card several times on Company of Heroes on 1680x1050 On all high settings and I actually got lower frames than I did with my XFX 9600GT (The exact same settings!) I averaged out 33.6FPS(on 5 games) with the 9600GT and 26.4FPS with this 4850, highly disappointing, runs very hot, and the manual fan past 50%(Standard) is obnoxiously loud. Not worth the money at all!!!! from Newegg.com Pros: none Cons: I received the box for the HD 4850 but the graphics card in the box was nothing like the one that is in the picture. It had a DVI output and two hdmi outputs. from Newegg.com Pros: This is the new design for all HD4850 cards. You will notice that on Newegg, you only find the single slot cards as an open box item now. from Newegg.com Pros: 4850s are awesome. Visiontek has done a good job. Cons: This is not how a Visiontek card looks like. from Newegg.com No BSOD, no freezing up during gaming or other processes. Don't know if it was the 4850 design, or the brand that made it. Have ASUS top 4850, running okay so far:) from Newegg.com Pros: Price. In Crossfire, these are beasts in the sub $300 category - unmatched performance at the price point. CCC seems to have less problems that nTune (had both nVidia 7800GTX and 8800GTS 512 before).
