other thoughts: forgot to add that, to get the 3840 by 2400 resolution with both dvi ends plugged into the video card, you have to take an unintuitive step: in the nvidia control panel setup wizard,

cons: the big heatsink takes up another slot, but it's not a problem on my motherboard since that slot is an old pci slot, and i can spare it.

cons: no problems with the card -- i'm ordering a second one today to beef up the refresh from 20 to 40, paired up on my pair of sli pci x-16 slots.

cons: asus software messed up something on vista that caused dreamscene to not work and possibly other video problems - just install the latest nvidia driver from nvidia (not asus).
