had one issue when i didn't realize my old motherboard ran at x4 pci and this video card did not support x4 but it was worth the effort of upgrading to get this thing working right.

gigabyte also re-designed nvidia 's reference card layout to make the card shorter - it is the same length as my old 6600gt, for reference.

other thoughts: this card only takes one pci slot unlike what someone had previously posted.

from the picture it's pretty obvious that it takes up 2 pci slots , but it doesn't come with an extra pci vent on the second slot to let air in.

i have to use x8 lane and set the jumper instead of x16 lane on my pci express slot since i replaced the original fan and heatsink on my mb and i can't install any card on the 1st x16 slot...

having the copper zalmen cooler keeps my o/c under 55c full load...not bad.the card runs all my games max settings cod4,tf2,bioshock and even crysis runs very high settings 1280x1024 no aa xp dx10
