go figure.very happy with the framerates and performance this card delivers in the games i tested it with:crysis (vanilla & natural mod): highfallout 3: max settingslord of the rings online: max
it is nice sense there are a number of games out there that support dx 10.1 cons: no cons i can think of.
crysis is the only game i own that even begins to tax this monster of a card.
that would be just a compatability issue with my computer screen other thoughts: this card works pretty well as a space heater when you are running some of the graphic intense games.
i purchased this card for an all new gaming box to play directx 10 enabled games on micro$oft vista.
it is a good buy for its price and it runs call of duty world at war on max just fine.
very good price/performance.got free shipping, free game and free 3dmark vantage cant beat it!
i rather like this one over hd4850 because it offers the same or better performance, better driver compatibility for gaming and less software installation hassles.
with a free amazing game!the boxing was absolutely stunning (bit of a design nerd)along with the graphics card.2 dvi cons: no hdmii get opengl rendering errors while working in after effects
other thoughts: my system is:msi-7093 mainboard1.9 ghz amd 64 3200+ single core1 gb ddr1 400 ramhec power-x 600w psumy processor speed is a little on the low side, haha.the graphics on games run
runs all my games maxed out except left for dead but the graphics are still amazing on idle it runs around 38c great looks and love the xfx imprint on it.
it looks cool and plays all the games i through at.
lifetime warranty cons: none other thoughts: i put the fan at 100%(very loud) and the card never goes above 45c loadi'm thinking about buying another for some 3x crossfire action!
while i was testing his system i did try overclocking using the catalyst drivers (9.2), but it glitching after i installed windows vista 64 bit.
great fps for most games on maxed out settings.
stock 3.16ghz, 4gb 1066 ddr2 kingston ram, nvidia akimbo 9800 gt 1gb) to see how well it would work with my gaming setup:ran surprisingly well on valve multiplayer games such as left 4 dead and tf2.
and you're good to go.i tried the card with valve games such as counterstrike and at first my fps was capped at 60 -- i turned vsync off, anti-aliasing off, monitor refresh rate at 75 and now i get
3) it's relatively quiet - it is only at its loudest (which isn't that loud, anyway) if you're running some graphics-intensive game.
other thoughts: there isn't a game i've tried yet that this card cannot handle.
but it runs flawlessly and makes a huge difference in game and overall cpu performance.
i was impressed with that, empire is such a demanding game and this card runs it like its nothing.software and drivers are excellent.
my 4870 ran this game (men of war)flawlessly, so it was either the new 9.4 cats or the new card.
although there is a noticeable difference in frame rate and general game smoothness, i am quite surprised that the fan is much louder than the nvidia product.
other thoughts: install was smooth.if you want a card that runs all your games on high, this is the one.not going to knock nvidia.but ccc rules for gaming.fan speed set at 45%,no heat problems.
great card boght 2 of them and they are fast had some issues with sevral games with my old cards know everything has desapper.
summary:i was going to buy the geforce 9600 gso but when i saw this was only a bit more a couldnt resist, plus it came with 2 fifty dollar games at newegg.
does everything i wanted it to.easy to install and run.just be sure to uninstall your old graphics card drivers before you install this graphics cards drivers.runs any game out there!
other thoughts: i didn't buy this card to game with, so i can't make any claims as to it's performance.
the card runs call of duty 4 flawlessly on the highest settings.
it can run pretty much any current generation game (crysis excluded) on the highest settings possible at 1680x1050, and for under $200, that's really impressive.
