i thought the whole point of a traffic receiver was to avoid traffic and route outside of it.also, at max speaker volume, it's much quieter than any gps device i've seen to date.

one advice: go to garmin.com and upgrade the software to 4.60 as the voice volume, voice quality, and traffic (if you use gtm25 charger/antenna) works much better.
