great product, but the best part was the customer service cruthcfield answered some of my questions for install and saved me a ton of money on installation and the radio aswell .
i just received and installed this unit and the kenwood hd receiver (pricey) but worth it.
all rolled into one is a snap to own and install.

install was easy thanks to the included harness and trim from crutchfield.
the pre-installed english voice is a little robotic but if you switch to the british american it is perfect.
we installed it in her car today and made a test run to the resturant for breakfast after she plugged in the destination.
installation is easy as it is generally ready to go out of the box.
oh yeah, buying through amazon.com, it does come with the newest maps already installed.

i have had a garmin 330c and a magellan that i don't remember the product code, and also a factory installed gps in my truck before.
the passenger can also work with it while the car is in motion - unlike the factory installed models on cars.
this garmin model 760 is as easy to install and use as it was advertised to be.
my only complaints are that it sometimes takes a while to locate the satellites, and that the maps that come installed on it are outdated.
also, the points of interest installed in it are amazing.i tried different gps units that are "installed" in cars and also older garmin and magellan units (in rental cars).
it updated using the garmin software perfectly and arrived with all the 2009 maps already installed (thanks amazon).

the bluetooth with my blackberry didn't work properly, but after a series of emails with their tech support people i downloaded and installed an upgrade to the bluetooth software and now it's fine.
after recieving the unit i was able to plug it right in and use it immediately although the installed map was a 2008 version.
it is not easy to install.
my mac computer (garmin has mac software, one of the reasons i bought it) and uploaded all the new maps (i bought the lifetime map service) and, more importantly, installed new firmware for the 780.
upon its arrival, i downloaded and installed the latest garmin webupdater v.2.41 and then updated my 780 from software version 2.50 to 2.90.
