Best GPS Devices for Free Traffic

the free traffic for life is what pushed it over the top.

this is my second gps, best thing i like about it is the free traffic update.

i tried doing a lot of research before i made a purchase and basically i chose this one because it had a wide screen and free traffic reports.

otherwise a nice unit, free traffic at the expense of ads but they don't intrude (i just hope it stays that way).

it does have free traffic alert for life and i like that.

if you're looking at this gps, i can tell you i spent a lot of time researching it, you can't go too far wrong with a garmin -what sold me on this version was the free traffic for life & bluetooth.

it has free traffic for life compared to the subscription based gps's in the same price range.

i returned the 255w for the 265wt because i liked the free traffic and bluetooth.

the "ads" for the free traffic pop up from time to time, but i rarely notice them and they certainly are not in the way or distracting at all.

the lifetime free traffic service is a big plus...

i like the idea that it comes with free traffic reporting instead of a yearly subscription.

the extra features (bluetooth, sd card slot, free traffic updates) are worth it..

(1) free traffic - it works surprisingly well for me in east sf bay area, it accurately and promptly reports conditions of 680 and 880.

i bought it because of the bluetooth and the free traffic for life features.

the only feature really missing is free traffic alerts (although it has an option for a paid service), but those alerts are anyway still in development and not always available.

i wish it had free traffic however, because while i like the fm traffic, with how rarely i need it i can't justify paying the subscription fees.

secondly, this gps was supposed to come with free traffic alerts for three months, but it doesn't seem to work and thus i would never order it.

the free traffic subscription that comes with it (really handy at rush hour)
