Review?2?for?Drive 200 GPS
ProsI think this is just as good as the other name brands....
If you're looking to buy for someone that's never owned or experienced a GPS unit before, then this model might be an option, but for those who know what's on the market, this unit will be really disappointing.
ProsWould be awesome if it was the only GPS on the market.
Review?11?for?Drive 200 GPS
I bought the Sony NV-U44 a few days ago on an impulse buy, as it was on sale at a local electronics store for $138, regular $250.
I bought this GPS a few days ago.
I bought this GPS thinking it was coming with a SUPER SUCTION CUP mount which would not require a dashboard adhesive disk in order to mount it on the dash.
I enjoyed this GPS while it lasted.
I have had this GPS unit for just over 2 weeks now and must say I like it quite a bit.
To not test a new map on ALL your currently sold GPS units?
TomTom XL 340-S 4.3-Inch Portable GPS Navigator
I wanted to wait until GPS's matured before buying one.
I looked at this device and the Garwin 255W, and bought the TomTom XL 340-S.
This product has been exceptional but with one minor flaw.
The smaller screen size doesn't impact the usefulness as most safe GPS users listen to the spoken directions rather than watching the LCD screen!
Got this nice little GPS on sale for $79 and with my gift card, only paid $59.
I purchased this for my son who had his mio stolen.
I recently purchased a MOTONAV.(love motorola Phones)..for a upcoming trip my Wife was taking..
It has some pretty decent features for Motorola's entry into the GPS realm dominated by others, Motorola was a little slow dipping it's feet into the GPS market, but the unit somewhat surprised me.
A must have if your going out in the middle of no where or just a new city.
This is a basic GPS unit that doesn't find street addresses, doesn't have a database of roads or restaurants or anything, but is intended for a simpler use.
An excellent device for finding your way to a predetermined location.
Being a gadget nut, had to have this.
Bought the GPS BackTrack for my wife who has early stage Alzheimer's.
i just bought a garmin 275t through amazon and am very happy with the service i received from amazon and the product i took it on a trip to europe cold out of the box and was able to figure out how
i can't wait to take it to europe this spring and use the included maps.
i got this particular model because it has european maps.
one thing that was disappointing is that i made a trip to south korea, but garmin does not make maps for it.
after downloading the us and european map updates (it takes awhile) i practiced with the unit on a few local trips.
with the widescreen it is easy to see at night.
if you are going on a long trip to a foreign area it is a must have the points of interest are spot on and lead you to the fun night life or just a simple gas station.
right out of the box and in your car and your ready to go.
extremely accurate in it's route planning.
it's very accurate but you sometimes have to know how to enter the info.
the touch screen is nice, very accurate and sensitive.
very easy to use.
easy to use.
easy to use
having an easy-to-see screen and voice step-by-step instructions are so nice.
I contacted Garmin and was told that they are working on updating the feature.
1500 characters is not enough space to write a review for this product.
I usually like Garmin products a lot, but this unit (replacing a Nuvi 660 my wife took) just infuriates me.
excellent so far.
I did quite a bit of research prior to purchasing the 755T, and it paid off!
another thing that concerned me was that the 4350 lacks the bell sounds when you're approaching a turn, but after driving thru 3 states, and different roads, i've come to realize that the voice
The magellan 4350 is a completely different experience from the 4250, The interface is different with the One Touch Menu, being more user friendly than the 4250.
It's been few days since I bought the Magellan 4350.
I received my Magellan Maestro GPS and am extremely happy with it.
I bought the unit at a Black Friday sale for under $200.00.
***************** Avoid this GPS *****************
I have had this gps for a couple of days.
As many have already said, the display is beautiful - and large.
But the new Sony is everything we need and lives up to our expectations of a GPS system.
As long as the GPS is facing the sky, you get the signal pretty quickly less than 2-3 minutes
I bought my TomTom GO 730T about 2 weeks ago.
I bought this unit a few months ago as an upgrade from an older Garmin GPS that was 3-years ago.
I saw no difference between the TomTom and the Garmin I tested.
Not a bad GPS, has alot of features.
First thing that went wrong was the language that came up was not English.
During a recent trip to Colorado and Wyoming I compared the BT-Q1000x with two other GPS Data Loggers.
The good part is that the unit can used as a gps logger and blue tooth external gps unit.
I have 5 Garmin GPS units and they all work and download on Google Earth.
I have used several GPSs over the years and this one takes the cake.
I took this GPS on a 9000 mile, 3-week trip by land, sea and air, and it stored my positions without having the opportunity to download the data or change settings during the trip, since the sub-notebook I took ran LINUX.
easy to use and accurate this is a great product at a great price.
u.s and europe maps included.
very easy to use while driving.
by comparison, i used the garmin 770 for two weeks of travel in europe, but thought it had enough flaws to keep me from buying it.
the tomtom go 930 was purchased because it has both usa and european maps.
This is my first GPS unit and I am loving it.
a little slow on startup, but packed with features and gets you where you need to go.
As a former user of in-dash, factory installed navigation systems, I am very satisfied with this Magellan device.
Easy for a non computer dunce.
The cell phone bluetooth feature works quite well, enabling handsfree calling while in the car.
It takes about 25-50 seconds to find a signal on a cold start, which is par for the course with other GPS units I've used.
They tried to get me to pay for shipping by lying and saying that shipping would be taken care of at FEDEX by showing them the RMA number.
If you want a GPS that you can rely on to work and customer service to support your unit I HIGHLY recommend you look anywhere but at a Tom Tom product.
Cost was cheaper than hiring one from the Car Hire places.
Didn't have the opportunity to get the product going so I can't tell you much about its features.
The product, Garmin Nuvi 765T, came in as advertised without any problem.
There is one particular spot where my Garmin will send me almost a mile out of my way to get home when I am 1 extended block away.
We absolutely love our new Garmin, or "Jack" as we call him.
After excitedly and carefully unpacking my GPS, I turned it on, plugged it into my computer and registered it and updated it.
A little disappointed as quite often you are at a junction when your informed to turn.
Pros: Voice recognition - lane change
Pros: - Vibrant Maps- Voice control- Blue tooth included- Unit is portable
This GPS works exactly as expected.
I bought the 855 as an upgrade to my StreetPilot C550.
>>no bluetooth, no mp3 player auto start, no 3-d buildings, no smooth scrolling<<< A small and not obvious feature in the 780 model BUT NOT in the 855 model is the mp3 player auto start.
great ease of use, same size as my auto gps 265w
i even used it on our trip through canada.
it changes the speed limits that it displays at just the right time and seems very accurate in the mapping.
- functions just like a garmin - easy to use
the tactile feel is of top quality, it's highly accurate, very sensitive, and the ergonomics make it a pleasure to use!
so far it is great....easy to use etc...the only thing adverse would be that it doesn't show the found geocaches open in the map part like the vista does..
if i was writing this review solely on the out of the box unit i would give it one star, with the upgrade four and after another update or two a 5 or 6.
i have never had the unit crash, the file system is super easy to use with the roller, and the unit has been very accurate so far.
i did not find the rock n roller easy to use.
