But, it takes too long to catch the initial signal - at least 15 minutes after putting it on. So, it was useful only when driving long-distance and not for places in a 10-15 mile radius. To get over this issue, I would either go into the car and put it on (it would never get a signal at home, unlike my wife's Garmin) before I'm ready to leave or I would get Mapquest directions so that I would start off in the right direction at least, before the Pharos caught a signal and told me the rest of the way.
