Garmin does it again. I bought this gps because I have owned Garmins before and love them. from Amazon.com As of June 2009 we have owned the nuvi 785T GPS for 6 weeks. The setup was fast and easy. from Amazon.com This is my 3rd Garmin and this is by far the best. As as family that drives a 40' diesel pusher who pulls a car four down, the lane assist is a real asset. from Amazon.com At first, I wasn't interested in a GPS unit, but since I will be traveling to several cities on vacation this year that I am not so familiar with and I travel a fair amount on my job, I decided to buy one. I spent some time doing research and decided on the 785T. from Amazon.com Pros: - Very slick looking- Bluetooth/Phone features work great- MSN Traffic is pretty cool. See weather, gas prices, traffic, movie times, etc.- Fast recalculating of routes if I make a wrong turn- Great support/updates. from Newegg.com I had a C550 and loved it but it got stolen so I had to buy a new GPS. I started with a Nuvi 885T because I was intrigued by the voice activation. from Amazon.com This GPS has locked up on my wife 3 times now. Last time was yesterday. from Amazon.com I checked out the Garmins starting with the 265 & up to this one. I made the decision to buy one that filled my important needs: lane info & the MSN was built in. from Amazon.com This Garmin Unit has all the same features as the 755T and 765T but it cost more money, and it doesnt come with FREE lifetime traffic updates like the 755T and 765T do, instead it comes with a free 3 month trial of MSN Traffic updates, after the 3 month trial you can pay $50 per year or $100 for lifetime updates. The whole point to the Garmin Nuvi 7xT models was the free LIFETIME traffic updates which is why they have the letter T by their name (for those that dont know T = Lifetime Traffic Updates, W = Widescreen) and the whole reason why their more expensive then other models... from Amazon.com A really good piece of equipment, it is reliable and easy to use. On the down side the maps are a little old and you have to pay AGAIN to update them. from Amazon.com
