For quite sometime I was looking for a way to show the screen of my Nuvi 770 on a big screen for the passengers to see. I considered hacking the Nuvi but discovered the GVN 53. I hooked it up to a 40" plasma screen in our mini bus but the picture is a bit pixelated but still very usable. from Amazon.com I was looking for a GPS to work with my Alpine system, finally I found this GPS that works perfect with my system, The only issue is that does not work the touch screen but they managed to have a remote that is very friendly to use; I think they have to increase the memory that comes with the system becouse it is too low, If you want to imput large amount of maps you need to buy a SD memory to do so. from Amazon.com This unit is a very good unit as far as performance is concerned, but the dataset for mapping was two generations old (2008) and customer service refused to give me a new dataset saying they did not do this for this unit and that I would have to buy the latest maps at a cost of $99.99. This in spite of the fact that the call was made within two weeks of installation. from Amazon.com
