The device was telling the nearest bestbuy store was all the way across town. I went online and purchased updated maps for $85 and an ISB cord for $25. After the confusing download process, the 3200 was now "up to date". It still does not know about the bestbuy store .5 miles from my house and several other points of interest are not even close to being up to date. from Bestbuy.com The only problem with it is the maps are old. October of 2007 is when it was last updated, or at least that is what mine says. To update the maps it costs another $80 from Magellan, so just buying a new one won't be much of a cost difference. Of course I didn't know this until I got lost a few times using it. from Buy.com I got this 3200 model as a gift for my mother. And for a person who is not technologically inclined, my mother was able to use it right out of the box. from Buy.com I bought the Maestro for my second car as I had a Roadmate in the first. This is the third GPS I've had, each from a different major manufacturer, and I find that they all do the job, but each brand has different quirks--Both good and bad. The major good quirk for the Magellan 3200 is that when you are approaching an intersection or exit, the GPS presents you with a small abstract diagram of the intersection with the path you need to take clearly shown. This is not needed for a simple right turn at a "plus-shaped" intersection, but in some cases where you are exiting a freeway and after exiting will have to immediately choose one of three closely-spaced exits, it is very valuable! from Amazon.com The Refurbished Magellan Maestro 3200 was in great condition when received.
