Recieved Road Mate 2000 In October, 2008. Loved the ease of use and the way it gave directions to and from destinations. from Overstock.com The Megellan RoadMate 2000 is a great device for those who wish to find an address quickly and easily. The Points of Interest selection (i.e. from Overstock.com I'm very happy with the GPS. It is a reburbished model, but it included all manuals and accessories. I am new to GPS use and went on Magellan's website and got a downloadable guide that also answered questions. I was very pleased with the quality and price. from Overstock.com I used my Magellan on a recent trip to Texas to visit a friend and it was an excellent fit. It is much easier than trying to read directions you printed off of mapquest or google maps. from Overstock.com I was disapointed in the product that I recieved, the Magellan RoadMate 2200T. I did not recieve a car charger nor a home charger for it. from Amazon.com I've purchased two of Magellan's 2200T and am very satisfied. It ships with (mediocre at best) maps dated August 2006 and Magellan wants you to pay $80 plus shipping for an update. If you buy the refurb and then the update disk you are at the price of a new Garmin Nuvi 350 which will have a one year warranty (instead of absurd 90 day as with the Magellan refurb - evryone else's refurbs come with same as new warranties, by the way) and it will come with current maps plus the Nuvi is a simply superior unit. from Amazon.com
