I was excited to finally get these since I was looking for an alternative way to pipe music from my computer out to my deck. Although the setup was extremely easy, I found the sound muddy and dull. from Circuitcity.com ProsThe device has worked well out of the box, if you order the Traveler 525+ model (there are three different versions) then all the maps are already on the included SD card, just plug in the SD card to the unit and install the program to the device. The unit is pretty user friendly, not hard to learn the ins and outs, also the OSTIA software, much to my surprise, is user friendly. from Dell.com Although the sound is pretty decent I wish I had a chance to rethink my purchase. I have connected the speakers to both TV and stereo receiver and find them lacking in both applications. The speakers are no more than 10 feet from the transmitter (without barriers) and they crackle and pop every time someone crosses the room. from Circuitcity.com ProsI gave this to a truck driver. What I don't understand from the reviews, is that this PDA/GPS comes with 3 GPS MAPPING PROGRAMS! First you get Pharos Traveller. I had serious software compatibility issues with the Palm; no problems thus far with the Pharos. I recomand Destinator 6, not only it works better but has more accurate maps (Eastern Europe anyone?). Recently Pharos announced newer devise which adds a cell phone, 2mpx camera and FM toner. Knowing my self I'll probably be selling my 525 and purchasing the new one. from Amazon.com Other Thoughts: Buy this device, throw away the Ostia and buy iGuidance V3.0. The GPS rocks with iGuidance. Or wait for Pharos to release its new PDA Phone with GPS. It will be as good as this thing plus a phone and camera (But I read, the processor is a TI OMAP @ 200Mhz which could be a drawback when you want to do more things at the same time). from Newegg.com I know it has Skype, but you don't always have wi-fi available. It easily can synch movies and music from the Windows Media Player. I could download about 4-5 hours of Tivo shows onto the Pharos in probably an hour with the conversion. It is small, light, and has a good screen size for reading pdfs, documents, etc... from Amazon.com
