As an frequent traveler and avid driver, a portable GPS has become an essential part of my travel kit. I replaced my Magellen with the 770 recently. The 770 is not Garmin's latest model but for me the added features are mostly frills. from Amazon.com Used the Garmin 760 in Netherlands, Belgium and France. Overall satisfied with the unit but not impressed. from Amazon.com Very excellent product. Quick calculation, very nice bluetooth service. When you buy it, make sure you register it in Garmin website because you are granted one free update for either US or Europe Maps. Also, check your device for software updates (Free). from Amazon.com Larger screen and bluetooth capability are great new features, as is the capacity for both North America and Europe maps for travelers like me, especially given the cumbersome and restrictive nature of Garmin's MapSource map loading software. I can tell this is something we'll always want to have now that we have one. In the end, I realized we'd be fighting over the lone GPS once we got to our new locale, so I bought another (not this one--I got the 750 as our 2nd one because I found a fabulous price on it AND because its very similar to the 770, which we already knew we liked). from Amazon.com good GPS, i was always happy with garmin products. The only annoying thing i find is that i don't have the possibility to snooze the beeper telling me i am speeding in a "mobile" radar zone.. from Amazon.com I have owned numerous GPS devices over the years and this 770 is without a doubt, the best unit on the market. The 770 is the same as the 760 only the 770 includes maps of Europe. from Amazon.com After mounting it in the rental car in San Francisco and driving out into the streets with high rises it recognized where it war within less than a minute even though the last operation had been in the north east of the US. It got me exactly to the grocer I wanted (Trader Joe), a Starbuck's and my friend's house. Also for the rest of my trip along the coast and into Los Angeles the GARMIN never got confused. After lunch one day I played dumb and asked the GPS to guide me back to the car in the parking lot, and that it did within 10 ft, the resolution of this amazing gadget. from Amazon.com Bought the Garmin Nuvi 760 back in November and it works great. I give this to my sister as a Christmas Gift thinking that I will upgrade to the 770 with the Europe map since I will be vacationing in Rome Italy this April. from Amazon.com Great GPS, great bluetooth and mp3 but the FMtransmiter dosent work fine. For the sice and the price it is better buy the NUVI 270. from Amazon.com
