I've owned both the SkyCaddie SG4 and the V300 and I think the Approach G5 is a much better tool. I also considered others. from Crutchfield.com But, I have been getting 4 1/2 rounds out of the AA lithium batteries. I hope future enhancements can be upgradeable to my unit that includes a saving function for shot mades for future round comparisons. All in all the G5 works very well and I would highly recomment it to golfers of any handicap. from Amazon.com I've owned a SkyCaddie SG3 for some time and, weary of its annual fees, glacial operating speed, and pedestrian display, I decided to go color. I purchased the Garmin Approach G5, but its display is very difficult to see in normal outdoor conditions. So I also purchased the Callaway uPro. from Amazon.com I have used my G5 approach about 6 times and so far have been very pleased with it's performance. It is incredibly easy to use. from Amazon.com It now has over 10,000 courses. I recently asked that a new course be added and with the new free update that course was added. I also received an e-mail from Garmin telling me that the course was added.
