I bought the dispenser for use over 1 acre of land, and quite honestly, I became frustrated with the dispenser and used a clean pot with holes in the bottom instead. The tube was next to impossible to fill in any sort of appreciable time without spilling Milky Spore all over your hands.
It's messy, pain to fill this thing, the spore goes everywhere. When dispensing I quickly figured out there has to be a better way to get a more uniform spread. I ended up mixing the milky spore in with some fertilizer and using my lawn spreader. Worked much better.
This is a great product for dispensing Milky Spore. This is the only product that will eliminate the evil Japanese beetles that eat everything in sight. They do what traps cannot do.
This product looks like all the rest but is far from it. The tube is normal cardboard so the product "sticks" to the inside of the tube, it doesn't slide out nicely for despensing.(others I have seen since have a silver coating inside the cardboard to make the product slide out with out any problem) When dispensing you must shake it very hard to get any thing to come out. Because of this trying to get the correct amount to come out the bottom is very difficult, you never know how far you should open the slider on the bottom for distribution.
This purchase was a waste of money. It was difficult to dispense accurate amounts of milky spores.
Works great on Flat grassy areas... I happened to hit a small rock with mine and it broke the bottom out.
