Best GameCube Games for Metroid

it was dissapointing enough when metroid prime didn't(though it did in many magazines and websites), and if this game doesn't win, i'm going to start suspecting that the academy of interactive arts

and anyone who looks at a game like this can see that with metroid prime, resident evil zero, and legend of zelda: the wind waker, it's a good time to own a gamecube.

anyway this is without a shadow of a doubt the best game available right for the gamecube, beating out metroid prime and i cant think of a better title on any other platform either.

like another mentioned here, the boss characters are pretty easy compapred to metroid prime or some other games but this game is more about the overall quest than fighting.

this is not a fps it is a first person adventure game much like the excellent metroid prime echoes wich you should also purchase.

a very engaging story quickly develops through a series of discovered written documents, radio transmissions and fantastic cutscenes which all run in-game like in metroid prime 2 or in metal gear

go on an buy a gamecube if you don't own one by now and catch up with metroid prime and resident evil 4.

the play control can, if desired, mimic many of the best aspects of metroid prime 1 and 2, so if you have played one of these, it will be much easier to adapt to the control scheme.

so despite what these guys say about this game not being a deep rpg and how it is not for real gamers, yeah it's true, but should it really be compared to metroid and the legend of zelda?

this is the best game i have played in my entire life (and i own metroid prime).

(i'm counting metroid prime as a fps shooter for the purposes of this review even though an adventure.)

i have given up any hope of ever completing it...especially since the five mile long laundry list of stuff you have to do to beat it will have gotten boring long after better games like metroid or

it doesn't have the stellar graphics or flawless storyline of metroid prime.

the storyline is kind of cheesy, having an evil clone (the evil cone thing is getting a little boring aka metroid fusion), but the gameplay is awesome.

metroid will just have to wait its turn.

at least, before you get zelda and metroid prime.

i'm of the vein that prefers the metroid/zelda types that, even when non-linear, at the end of the day, there's a task that needs to be done in progression of the plot.
