i knew of it before it came out, and i always was one to get into the old summer/winter olympics games by epyx, so i thought id give it a shot...konami was always pretty reliable, right?
WRONGO!
this is probably the worst games theyve ever created...i first thought "oh cool, figure skating...my, thats original"...i was incredibly disappointed to find out you dont even control the skaters, yet have to hit up, up, left, right, yak yak yak to the beat of the music...when i did get a gold, i was majorly disappointed that they dont show you a full replay of your performance...youre so busy watching the arrows to hit that you cant even really watch your skater...
the skiing is a joke, controls are awful, you only have two different ways you can wipe out, either going slow, or going fast no matter if you hit a wall, or a flag post, no matter which way you bump into it...believe me, i tried
the graphics look beautiful, yes...real sharp, but the point is they could have done a lot better instead of usin their same old ancient track & field method of rapidly tapping buttons for almost every event...im sure you older gamers will appreciate that comment, coincidentially konami also made track & field as well...it was fine for its day, but a winter version of it is a waste of space...
