The slings are the way to go. They are simple to use and don't invole carrying a lot of extra weight or bulk. Check out the Hotslings Stretch Baby Sling/Wrap. It is ranked quite high on wize.com and can carry an infant up to 35 lbs. The slings make it so much easier and convenient to carry your baby around when you are shopping, etc...
