You might want to check out the Koss PRO-4AAT headphones (http://wize.com/headphones/koss-pro-4aat-consum...) that delivery great sound quality at a price that won't break your bank account. They are a bit heavy, but they do an excellent job of blocking out unwanted noise while resting comfortable on the head.

They remind a me a lot of the headphones RadioShack used to sell under the Realistic brand name that were absolutely wonderful!
