When looking at vacuums and determining which is better than the other for many years it seem that Kirby and Rainbow where at the top of the list. Kirby is a good vacuum cleaner depending on what uses are in mind. Just remember Kirby is not bagless. As far as quality Kirby is rated on the high side. Kirby is one of the best. I currently have a 20-year old Kirby vaccum that is still going strong sitting in the closet. You pay more for it, but you are buying quality. Most of the vacuum cleaners sold in stores nowadays are not designed to last more than 2-3 years unless you spend a lot of money on a brand like Dyson or Kenmore, etc.

One thing I love about Kirby is they are so light, yet so powerful. Many commercial cleaning services use Kirby vacuums and I tend to think if the pros use them then there must be something good about them!
