NO! We have a 2 1/2 year old Maytag AWW series. The transmission has gone out on it. Although the parts are covered ($271 for a new transmission), the labor is almost $200. We could get a 1 year warranty on the machine for another $60, but I kind of feel if we are going to spend $260 we should start over with completely new parts and a new warranty.

We won't be buying a Maytag.

Definitely NOT!
After having it two days and doing TWO loads, it had a puddle of oil under it. It was leaking from the motor. As it was less than 7 days, I had LOwes pick it up and redeliver a new WHirlpool. Since day ONE, the water does not fill, completely, on ANY rinse cycle. The water starts to fill and, then, kicks itself off. I have to pull in/push out the knob umpteen times to slowly get it filled up. Repairman is coming tomorrow.
