There are others to take a look at! Craftsman, Love-Less, Emerson, to name a few. All have great rankings on wize.com.
I would look elsewhere for bagless vacuums, not sure Kirby makes a bagless just yet. Take a look at Dyson!
The Miele S4210 ranks quite well on wize.com. You may also want to take a look at the Dyson.
Be sure that it includes and "absolute" or "true" HEPA filter and look for one that is has powerful suction!
The Dyson 18 Slim.
The Hoover Self Propelled WindTunnel Bagless Upright has a long lasting HEPA Filter that traps 100% dust mites, ragweed and common grass pollens.
Yes, I would say most of them come with quite a few attachments. Hoover has many, many different models. You can check out www.hoover.com to compare the features of each.
I'd recommend the Dirt Devil MCE7900 Platinum Force Upright Wet/Dry Vacuum. It ranked quite high on wize.com.
The Dirt Devil M088910 Swivel Glide Vision Vacuum is ranked quite high on wize.com with some great reviews. I would take a look!
Here are a few of their canister styles that are compact.
They are safe and made specifically for its use of picking up liquids in addition to solids. Of course it is still an electrical appliance and needs to be used according to the manufacturers instructions.
I have a Dyson 14 that works great on stairs. It has a long hose that stretches quite far and makes cleaning the stairs a breeze.
These vacuums are made to pick up liquids as well as heavy debris without leaking or clogging. They are made more for the garage, shed and/or workshop.
May want to try this model that comes with the HEPA filter. An vacuum that uses a true HEPA filter system will be beneficial.
I would have to say Dyson but I am a faithful user so a little biased!
That depends on which one you are looking at. They have canisters, lightweights and uprights. I would check out the reviews to see what users think.
This model is 15 pounds, which isn't too heavy. You may also want to look at the canister model which is only about 11 pounds.
If you are looking for an upright I recommend the Dyson 18 Slim. It is lightweight and powerful. The Dyson vacuums are a great machine. I use one myself and love it!! You can check this out for more info:
http://www.vacuum-better.com/dyson-dc18-slim.html
If you are looking for an upright I recommend the Dyson 18 Slim. It is lightweight and powerful. The Dyson vacuums are a great machine. I use one myself and love it!! I use the DC15, which isn't light weight but the long hose allows me to do my steps with no problem at all. You can check this out for more info:
http://www.vacuum-better.com/dyson-dc18-slim.html
They have a few stick vacuums that are pretty lightweight (about 5 1/2 pounds). If you are looking for a regular upright vacuum they go from about 13 to 20 pounds.
From what I have read, they are lightweight but have more cons then pros to them. I would look into the Dyson 18 Slim for a better product.
I am not so sure that much makes them "special". You can read some of the pros and cons here:
http://www.vacuum-better.com/oreck-xl-ultra.html
I have not tried one but have not seen the best reviews online for these vacuums. You can check out what people have to say at:
http://www.vacuum-better.com/oreck-xl-ultra.html
Yes, the Oreck XL21 Titanium Series comes with HEPA-Celoc® hypo-allergenic filtration.
A few of their models have a HEPA filter if that is what you are looking for.
This model has a HEPA filter and a full set of tools for cleaning in those nooks and crannies! It ranks quite well on wize.com also.
I would say it is there "Windtunnel Techonology" that they advertise. In addition they have a vast variety of vacuums to choose from. There is something to fit every need.
Hoover has been around for a very long time and Mom probably had them throughout her life and that is all she knows! However, there are many brands on the market today that are as good or better then Hoover. Don't short change yourself by not looking around to see what is available. Take a look at Dyson, Eureka, Electrolux to name a few. There are many that are ranked quite high on wize.com.
Not necessarily. There are so many vacuums on the market today that have a wide variety of features, attachments, special technology, etc... Not too many are simple anymore! I would look for one that fits your needs and budget. If that means a simple one then go that route.
Only certain models. Check out www.hoover.com to find out which models have them and which don't.
I wouldn't say it is deep cleaning. It works the best on hard floors and shorter pile carpeting. Sounds like they still have a few problems to work out on the machine.
I would have to say because it does the work for you! Who doesn't want to save time and have something that vacuums for you!
I don't think there is any need to go with a commerical vacuum. You just need a well made vacuum that will keep up with your cleaning habits. I would look into Dyson, Electrolux or Eureka to start.
The Eureka commerical vacuum is priced well and ranks high on wize.com.
I say YES, it is worth the price if you want a cleaner home! I own a Dyson and love it. It was worth every penny and I know it will last me a very long time. I am amazed every time I vacuum and I see what that vacuum picks up.
I don't think it is better then other Dyson's. I believe it just has attachments and features that will help with animal hair and reaching it in hard to get at places, etc...
The Dyson's rank quite high on many sites including wize.com. The Dyson Slim is the DC18. It is light weight and has powerful suction. I own a Dyson and absolutely love it!
Dyson carries the DC18 Dyson Slim. A lightweight and powerful vacuum.
I would have to say that the three best brands are Dyson, Electrolux and Sebo.
They tend to be better on carpeting then canister style vacuums. They can be less bulky and easier to carry around as well as easier to store.
Here is one that IS rated on wize.com. You can also check out www.riccar.com to find out more about their products.
Not necessarily! It all depends on the features you want on your vacuum and what you will be using it for most. The best vacuum cleaner is one that works for YOU!
Not necessarily! It all depends on the features you want on your vacuum and what you will be using it for most. The best vacuum cleaner is one that works for YOU!
For the garage I would recommend something like the Shop Vac.
I think because they perform so well! They can be expensive but if you know you are getting something that works well and lasts you don't mind spending the extra bucks. They have great features such as being bagless and the HEPA filters not to mention all the different models they have to fit every need.
I would say by all the great ratings that Dyson vacuum cleaners get that it is all true! I know I own one and it lives up to everything they say.
I would say yes due to its powerful suction. There isn't much that it doesn't pick up!
Yes, the Dyson uprights are certified asthma friendly® according to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America. The air expelled from a Dyson has up to 150 times less bacteria and mold than the air you breathe. The powerful suction and HEPA filtration can help protect. Now, your carpets and floors is only one area and one thing you can do to protect yourself from allergies. There are other precautions you need to take.
There are a few and this was one with a pretty good rating on wize.com.
Some of the best brands are Dyson, Sebo, Eureka and Electrolux. Models depend on your personal needs and taste as well as budget. You should decide whether you want bag or bagless. You should look for HEPA filtration and the AMPS (for power). You should look for features that would fit your needs such as weight, attachments, automatic height adjustment, ease of storage, etc... Shop and compare and then decide.
I would suggest the Dyson. There are a few models for animal hair that are all great!
The Electrolux Aptitude model has a washable HEPA filter. http://www.electroluxusa.com/
I would read your owners manual and/or check out their web site.
I think there are several good brands of vacuum cleaners! I do own a Dyson and love it! But I am sure there are others out there that are just as good. You just have to do your homework and shop around as well as read reviews.
In my opinion yes! I have one and everytime I vacuum and see the stuff that comes from my carpets I feel that the money was surely worth it!
You want to think about whether you want to go bag or bagless. You want to think about the amps, which will tell you how much power you will get. You should also think about the weight, especially if you have a multi-story home and will be dragging it up and down steps. You may also want to look at HEPA filter options. Lastly is your budget! Consider Dyson, Sebo and Eureka to start with!
That depends on the buyer! Uprights are generally better for carpet and canisters for hard floor and stairs.
I would say it is the other way around. Uprights tend to be more compact and easier to manuever and store then canister vacuums. It is all in personal taste though!
If you are talking about a canister versus an upright: Uprights generally do better on carpet as opposed to canister. They can be less expensive then canisters and are easier to store because they are more compact.
Canisters on the other hand work well on hard floors and steps. They also tend to be quieter.

It is all in what YOU like and what works for you! If you like the canister version and it works for you then there is no reason not to stick with it!
I would say that an upright might be easier to carry upstairs.
I would say you want something light weight since if you have multi-stories in your home! Here are a few brands to look at that are lighter in weight.
They have the Oreck Rinse-A-Matic Steemer Ultra for $399. You can check out all their models at www.oreck.com.
Don't let the name fool you! These vacuums have tons of valuable features and the newest technology.
This is their online policy: Internet Policy
Despite what an online seller might claim, no Simplicity vacuum sold on eBay is warranted by Simplicity. Simplicity only backs vacuums sold by Authorized Simplicity Retailers, all of whom sell Simplicity vacuums exclusively through their "brick-and-mortar" stores.
Yes, may want to look specifically at the 7 Series (www.simplicityvac.com).
I would start here: http://www.simplicityvac.com/ for more information on these vacuums. You can also look at: http://www.consumersearch.com/www/house_and_hom....
No matter how good a vacuum is, if you use it for years and years it will start to wear! Some quicker then others. Kirby has a program that will allow owners to rebuild their Kirby to "like new". They completely take it apart and replace worn parts, clean it and shine it up like new.
Kirby vacuum cleaners are only sold through independent distributors and are sold worldwide. Check out www.kirby.com to find a distributor in your area.
Kirby vacuums are a great vacuum cleaner with the lastest technology and built to last a lifetime. However, they are one expensive machine! If you can afford it, that is the way to go! You can only buy Kirby through independent distributors. Go to www.kirby.com to find one in your area.
That depends on your budget. They are definitely a great vacuum cleaner and can take care of all your needs however, they are quite expensive. They include the latest technology and are built to last a lifetime. They are an investment if you can afford one!
No! The Kirby vacuums are probably one of the most expensive around. They are a high standard machine with the lastest technology and built to last a lifetime. They are sold only through independent distributors. www.kirby.com
Yes! Here is info from their web site: The Kirby Company has dedicated itself to perfecting this product and over the years has made continuous improvements to its design and function. The addition of TechDrive Variable Power Assist has made vacuuming almost effortless. Our patented bag system, rated HEPA 11, filters more than 99% of particles as small as .3 microns including household allergens. The basic power unit now has a stronger, more durable fan, redesigned with the help of NASA. These improvements, and more, create a Kirby system that is the best investment a homeowner can make for their family and home.
The Kirby Vacuum Cleaner has been around for years and years. They are a high standard vacuum cleaner with a pantented system and are made to last for a very long time. They are quite expensive and only sold through independent distributors (www.kirby.com).
No, Kirby vacuums are not a scam. They are vacuum cleaners that have been around for years and are high standard machines. They are only sold through independent distributors who set up sale demonstrations with you ahead of time. You can check out www.kirby.com for more info.
I am not sure they just go door to door without first notifying you. I would not let anyone in unless you have an appointment ahead of time and know they are coming. Then I would make sure you ask for credentials so you know it is an actual Kirby salesperson you are dealing with. If you have any questions I would contact www.kirby.com directly.
I would check out www.kirby.com and talk to customer service to ask about their sales and what can be done to help you out.
Kirby vacuums are sold only through independent distributors in your local area. To find one check out www.kirby.com.
I am sure any Kirby vacuum cleaner will stand up to daily use. They are built to last and for the price you pay they better! You can come vacuum my house anytime!! Kirby vacuums are sold only through independent distributors so you need to check out www.kirby.com to find one in your area.
I would contact www.kirby.com and talk to customer service!
Duct tape can fix about anything but I would check with the manufacturer to see if you can replace the hose!
It they are true HEPA filters they will actually include this information on their label so you know what its efficiency actually is.
The Dyson brand is always ranked high and include the HEPA filtration. There are many models to choose from depending on your needs. SEBO is also another brand of HEPA vacuums that rank quite high.
I would check out the Dirt Devil M088910 Swivel Glide Vision Vacuum. It has a HEPA filter, is ranked 94 on wize.com and has a price tag of around $100-130, which makes it a great value!
Yes, there are two models that offer HEPA filter option. The Royal RY7500 as well as the RY9700 and RY9750.
Not at all. There are plenty of models that are for household use.
It seems to be ranked well on wize.com. They are a bit pricey but if they are a good vacuum and last then the price is worth it. When you have kids it is vital to have a good vacuum!!
Not in my opinion! If you get a good vacuum like a Dyson that can go from carpet to hardwood floor then there is no need.
Most broom vacuums or stick vacuums are made only for bare floor surfaces.
IF you are talking about a manual broom then yes! You are definitely going to pick up more dust, hair, crumbs, etc... with a vacuum then a broom. Plus the vacuum will have other features to use.
Most experts recommend a HEPA filter to help with allergies but you need to make sure it is a TRUE or ABSOLUTE HEPA filter, which have to pass a test to be considered HEPA worth. There are some that are called HEPA type or HEPA like that don't need the same type of certification. True HEPA filters will have a serial number and test results printed on them.
Dyson vacuums have HEPA filters so either would help out!
It will definitely help! There are many other things you must do to make a house safe for asthmatics but using a hepa vacuum is a great start.
That would depend on your environment! Do you have animals, kids, etc...? If the answer is yes you may want to do it more often. Do keep your furniture looking its best I would vacuum them at least once a month.
I would say 75 or higher but preferrably 90-100 for highest satisfaction.
The ultrasonic models are the most quiet. You can try either Air-O-Swiss or Sunpentown that both make popular models.
It could be that the air in your house is too dry and a humidifier will definitely help that! There are table top models or whole house systems depending on your needs.
It depends on the reasoning for your troublesome sinuses BUT it can't hurt! And sometimes the air being too dry is what causes sinus problems so you may want to look into one after a trip to the doctors.
They do have the Air-O-Swiss Combo 2071 Air Purifier & Humidifier!
Here are a few of the more popular Air-O-Swiss table top models on wize.com.
They say they are quite water efficient. You can read more here:
