How does the B60 model compare to the B70?
(2 answers)
We have the B60 and it's great. The only real reason for getting the B70 is if you want to fill a travel mug, for which you need a larger brewing size. That said, I have often filled a travel mug with my B60. I just brew the regular mug size twice. As for the actual technology of brewing the coffee, all the Keurig brewers are the same. So the least expensive one, the B40, will make just as good a cup of coffee as the B60 or B70.

The Keurig coffee makers sure look steamy. Do they make good coffee too?
(2 answers)
Yes, the Keurig brewers are excellent. We have a Keurig B60 and love it. I particularly appreciate the simplicity of making a quick coffee very first thing in the morning, while only about 10% of my brain is functioning. If you are a real coffee aficionado, you would probably argue that coffee made with a Keurig single serve brewer won't match the quality of coffee made with a good drip brewer of a French press. But for the rest of us, the coffee is great. One thing to consider though – a cup of coffee made with a Keurig brewer will cost you a fair bit ore than a coffee ade with a regular drip brewer.

What should I know about a vacuum coffee maker?
(1 answer)
A vacuum coffee maker is a beautiful thing. Beautiful to look at and ideal for when you're having friends round. Here's how it works: - You put water in the lower chamber and ground coffee in the upper chamber.
- When heat is applied to the lower bowl, the water rises up a central stem and mixes with the ground coffee.
- When the heat is removed, and the pressure in the lower bowl falls, the hot water is sucked back down into the lower bowl, through a filter.
- You then serve the coffee from the lower chamber.
The whole process works through the rise and fall of air pressure within the chambers when heat is applied, and then removed. Hence the name – vacuum coffee maker.

Is there an expresso coffee maker that's not so messy?
(2 answers)
If you want an espresso machine that isn't messy, look for models which are described as "automatic". With the Nespresso line of espresso machines, for example, you don't have to handle the coffee at all. The coffee comes in sealed capsules. No mess and no fuss. Of course, if you opt for an automatic machine, while you do get a great espresso, you won't get to enjoy the full barista experience. ; )

I want a coffee maker that makes one cup at a time. What's a good one?
(2 answers)
You have three choices - a coffee pod brewer (Senseo and the like), a K-Cup brewer (Keurig) or a T-Disc brewer (Tassimo). Single serve brewers from all three companies will suit your purposes. But here's the thing...how much do you want to pay per cup of coffee you brew? All of these single serve systems make a great cup of coffee, but at a higher price than you would pay using ground coffee in a conventional drip brewer. Regular drip brewer - least expensive per cup. Coffee pod brewer - more expenisve. K-Cup brewer - more expensive still. T-Disc brewer - most expensive.
