i liked the styling of this kitchenaid product better than the cuisinart processors, and from reading reviews here felt reassured that it would be fairly sturdy, and quiet in operation.

after reading reviews on various websites i purchased a kitchenaid 740 processor.
i spent some time reading the reviews of various models online and was impressed with the comments about the kitchenaid 9-cup processor.
i played around with the lid, and it doesn't feel flimsy, or like it may break if i do something wrong (as mentioned by some previous reviews).
so far we've had nothing but good experiences with it, but it's a good idea to read all the reviews to see if your particular favorite food is something people have had trouble processing with this

other reviews i read before i bought this one states the storage problem (yes, it's tall) but i lay it down and it shrinks to half its height.
