I canned about 55 pints of jam this summer and used this machine to chop fruit. It was a godsend. I have a smaller 7 cup Kitchenaid processor and was very happy with it, but my husband talked me into getting the larger 12 cup version, and I'm so glad he did. The only way that you can tell that this a refurbished model is that the storage case for the attachments is slightly scuffed on the top, but that is not an issue to me at all, especially when you consider that I paid $128 for it! from Amazon.com After grating, I attempted to remove the stem that connects the blade to the motor, and it would not come off. My husband tried it also, but it would not come off. We contacted KitchenAid and they will replace it. I ordered the processor on December 13 and have been more or less without one for over a month. from Amazon.com I was very impressed with the quality of the product. It is very heavy so it doesn't move around while in use and the 12 cup capacity does a beautiful job slicing and shredding!
