Flat panel TVs are a great for entertaining, your home theater, and watching sports and TV programs. Their large screens, thin cabinets, and mind-blowing performance make them suitable for almost everything, and their HD performance brings any image right into your room with clarity and rich color.If you are buying your flat panel TV for a large room, you can choose from a lot of different models. The rule of thumb for buying TVs is the bigger the screen the better, but even among similar screen sizes there is a wide variation in price. Your first decision is: plasma or LCD? Plasma screens usually come in bigger sizes, up to a whopping 70 inches, and they generally have better image quality. However, LCD TVs have a much higher resolution, which is perfect for watching sports. If your room is designed as a personal entertainment center, an HD TV with a huge plasma screen would be a wise choice. However, if you are more focused on sports, you’ll want an HD TV with an LCD screen and surround sound speakers to get the full experience.
When you look at flat panel TVs in a store, remember that you can adjust the picture for brightness and contrast, but the viewing aspect is inherent in the model. Ask a salesperson to help you adjust the color, and walk around the TV to see how it looks from different viewing angles. Do your research and you can find a flat panel TV for a reasonable price that will make the most of your extra wall space!
